105 km / 65 miles, 1 hr
While away an indulgent morning in the gardens and wineries of the Peninsula. Start at Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens, home to Australia's oldest hedge maze and the world's first circular rose maze. Heronswood is famous for its 19th-century bluestone mansion, formal gardens and Diggers Club. Red Hill Estate serves award-winning wines and the Peninsula's best views of Western Port Bay, while Montalto Vineyard and Olive Grove boasts a very highly regarded restaurant and sculpture garden.
Spend the afternoon playing golf on one of the Peninsula's 21 world-class courses, go swimming with dolphins and seals on a Moonraker Dolphin Cruise, or walk through historical military sites to the Peninsula's tip at Point Nepean. Another exhilarating seaside excursion is around the wild headland and boardwalks at the historic Cape Schanck lighthouse. Finish the day at Peninsula Hot Springs in a naturally heated mineral bath or indulging in a pampering body treatment.
